트럼프 북한과의 회담을 취소하다

평화로 가는 길은 정말 험난하고 쉽지 않습니다. 정말 끝까지 아슬아슬 외줄타기를 하네요. 아직 회담성사에 대한 희망의 불씨가 완전히 꺼지지 않은 만큼 계속 기대를 걸어봅니다. 미국이 지고 들어가는 모습을 만들지 않기위한 트럼프의 외교전략이라고 생각하겠습니다!.

Trump Calls Off North Korea Summit

트럼프 북한과의 회담을 취소하다. 

President Donald Trump says he has canceled the planned June 12 summit in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, blaming recent statements by Pyongyang.

트럼프 대통령을 12일 싱가포르에서 열릴 북한 김정은위원장과의 북한의 최근 성명을 비판하며 만남을 취소했습니다. 

"I believe that this is a tremendous setback for North Korea and, indeed, a setback for the world," said the U.S. president. 

“나는 이것이 북한에게 가장 큰 좌절이며 세계에도 역시 큰 좌절이라고 생각한다.“

The president also warned that the U.S. military are "more ready than we have ever been before," along with allies South Korea and Japan, should North Korea take any "foolish or reckless acts.”

트럼프 대통령을 또한 북한이 “어리석고 무모한 행동을 할 경우 한국과 일본을 비롯한 우방동맹국과 미군은  그 어느때 보다 준비가 되어있다” 라고 경고 했습니다. 

North Korea had previously threatened to pull out of the summit, following U.S-South Korea military exercises, which the north described as a “provocation.”

북한은 이전에 한미 군사훈련을 이유로 회담을 철회 하겠다고 위협을 한적이 있습니다. 북한은 이 군사훈련을 도발이라고 묘사했습니다. 

On Thursday morning, the White House released a letter that Trump wrote to Kim saying: "I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate at this time to have this long-planned meeting.”

목요일 아침, 백악관은 트럼프가 김정은 위원장에게 작성한 성명을 공개했습니다. “나는 당신과 함께 그곳에 있기를 매우 바라고 있었습니다. 하지만, 최근의 최근 성명에서 나타난 거대한 분노와 적대감의 표출에, 지금은 우리가 오랫동안 계획한 회의를 하는것이 부적절하다고 느낍니다. 

The North's official news agency put out a statement by Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan saying, "We had set in high regards President Trump's efforts to create a historic U.S.-North Korea summit. We tell the United States once more that we are open to resolving problems at any time in any way.”

북한의 공식 뉴스 채널은 외교부 부부장 김계관을 통해서 성명을 발표했습니다. “우리는 트럼프대통령과의 역사적만남을 위한 트럼프 대통령의 노력을 높이 평가했다. 우리는 미국에게 언제 어떠한 방법으로든 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 열려있음을 알린다. "

A number of analysts believe there could still be a Trump-Kim summit soon.

많은 분석가들을 조만간 정상회담이 열릴수도 있다는것을 믿고 있습니다. 

"Don't cancel your reservations for Singapore just yet," former U.S. deputy secretary of state Tony Blinken told VOA's Korean Service. "This is unlikely to be the final word.President Trump and Kim Jong-un are engaged in a high-stakes game of chicken based on the shared assumption that the other wants and needs the summit more.”

“싱가폴의 예약을 아직 취소하지 마라” 토니 블리켄 전 미 국무부 부장관은 VOA의 한국채널을 통해서 이야기 했습니다, “이것이 마지막으로 보이지 않는다.” 트럼프와 김정은은 정상회담이 필요하다는 가정하에 고수위의 치킨게임에 돌입한것으로 보여진다. 

Vipin Narang, an author of two books on nuclear strategy, told VOA News that "one camp may prefer to see if diplomacy can get things back on track, and maybe eventually get to a summit. Another camp may try to use this as evidence that diplomacy is doomed to fail, and that denuclearizing North Korea by force is the only remaining option.”

비아핑 나랑, 핵전략에 관해 두권의 책을 쓴 저자입니다. VOA뉴스에 “한 캠프가 외교적으로 정상적으로 돌아가기를 선호한다면, 결국 회담을 한것이라고  본다. 만약 또 다른 캠프가 이 것을  처참한 외교 실패의 증거로 사용한다면, 북한의 비핵화는 강제적으로 진행되는것이 유일한 답일 것이다.” 라고 말했습니다.
