After months of back and forth, U.S. President Donald J. Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un held face-to-face talks in Singapore on June 12, before announcing the terms of renewed cooperation between their two countries.

Speaking on Fox News, Trump claimed the summit was only possible because his insults and harsh rhetoric gained the respect of North Korean leader. "I think without the rhetoric we wouldn't have been here. I really believe that," Trump said.

Some doubt whether the meeting will achieve anything, arguing that the new agreement repeated the commitments of previous deals, which eventually came to little.
