베트남에서 맥주는 큰 비즈니스!

In Vietnam, the beer industry is growing. Foreigners are launching small businesses and making their own beer in the country. Companies such as Heineken and Sapporo hope the Vietnamese market will drive their sales growth. Meanwhile, investors are looking for the chance to buy Sabeco, Vietnam’s top beer producer.

베트남에서 맥주 산업이 성장하고 있습니다. 외국인들은 베트남에서 그들의 맥주를 만드는 작은 사업을 시작했습니다. 하이네켄이나 삿포로간은 회사들은 베트남시장이 그들 판매를 늘려주기를 기대 하고있습니다. 그러는 동안, 투자자들은 베트남의 최대 맥주 생산회사인 세베코를 인수할 기회를 찾고있습니다. 

Vietnam's government worry that as the drinking culture increases, so will rates of alcohol-related health problems and drunk driving. Because of these concerns, officials are considering placing restrictions on advertising beer.

베트남 정부는 음주문화가 확산되는것에 우려를 표하고있습니다. 음주문화가 증가하면 알콜관련 건강문제와 음주운전도 증가하기 때문입니다. 이런 우려때문에 정부는 맥주광고에 제한을 두기로 했습니다.

The Ministry of Health has proposed measures that would limit ads for beer, which it fears could soon become a threat to public health. The rules would ban beer advertising on roadsides, in films, children's shows, and on social media.

보건부장관은 맥주광고의 제한을 두는 조치를 취했고 이것이 곧 국민건강에 해가 된다는 것을 우려하기 때문입니다. 이 제한에는 길가 전광판, 영화 그리고 어린이방송 그리고 소셜미디어에서는 맥주광고를 제한하는 것입니다. 

People have been enjoying alcohol for a long time in Vietnam, from those who made their own rice wine to the American soldiers who loved 33 Beer, a locally made product, during the Vietnam War. But today is different, as Vietnamese citizens now have the wealth and freedom to drink more often. Beer usually costs less than a bottle of water.

베트남사람들은 그들의 쌀로만든 전통 와인에서 베트남전쟁당시 미군들이 사랑했던 지역생산33맥주에 이르기까지 오랬동안 술을 즐겨왔습니다. 

Nguyen Van Viet, chairman of the Vietnam Beer, Alcohol, and Beverage Association, pointed out that “alcohol production plays an important role in the development of the economy and society.”

누구엔 반 비엣은 베트남 맥주와 술 음료 협회의 회장입니다. 그는 주류생산이 경제와 사회발전에서 중요한 역할을 한다고 말했습니다. 

But some Vietnamese are concerned that the proposed restrictions could affect the number of visitors to the country.

하지만 어떤 베트남인들을 이러한 제한조치가 베트남을 방문하는 사람들에게 영향을 미칠까 우려하고 있습니다.
