요즘 분위기로만 보면 금방 통일이 될 것 같습니다. 제발 통일이 되었으면 좋겠습니다. 통일이야 말로 한반도 진정한 미래를 향한 길이라는 생각입니다. 사실 어릴때는 통일에 대해 큰 자각이 없었지만 어느정도 크고 생각이 생긴 후에 통일에 대해서 진지하게 자문해보았습니다. 우리는 전 세계에서 한글과 우리말을 쓰는 나라입니다. 같은 민족입니다. 수천년간 한나라 였습니다. 더이상 갈라져있을 수 없습니다. 문재인 정부하에서 통일이라는 희망을 걸어봅니다. 사상과 이념의 대립때문에 두 나라로 나뉘어 너무 큰 고초를 겪어 왔습니다. 진심으로 통일이 되어 동아시아의 평화와 번영의 꽃을 피우길 바랍니다.

그런데 기사 내용은 조금 의외네요. 북미회담은 문대통령이 이끌어 낸 것같은데 핀란드에서 스웨덴 외교관과 대사들의 만남에서 끌어낸것처럼 적혀있네요.. 제가 뭘 잘못 해석 한 건지 혹은 최근 뉴스를 잘못알고있는 건지...아리송합니다..;

North Korean and Former US Diplomats to Meet in Finland

A senior North Korean diplomat is headed to Finland to meet with former U.S. diplomats.This follows three days of talks between a North Korean delegation and Swedish diplomats that could lead to a possible meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

북한의 수석외교관이 미국외교관들을 만나기 위해 핀란드로 향했습니다. 이번 북한 특사와 스웨덴의 외교관들간의 회담은 3일간 지속됩니다. 이 회담은 미국 대통령 도널드트럼프와 북한의 김정은간의 정상회담을 이끌어 낼 가능성이 있습니다. 

Diplomats at the Finnish talks will “exchange opinions on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, an inter-Korean summit planned for late April, and a U.S.-North Korea summit expected in May.”

핀란드의 회의에서 외교관들은 한반도 비핵화와, 4월말 남북회담, 그리고 5월에 예정된 북미 정상 회담에 대한 의견들을 교환 할 것입니다. 

Swedish U.N. Ambassador Olof Skoog said his country was trying to help ease tensions on the Korean Peninsula by hosting talks. Sweden is one of the few Western powers to have an embassy in Pyongyang. There, it provides diplomatic services for not only Swedes, but also U.S., Canadian, and Australian citizens.

스웨덴 대사 오로프 스쿠그는 스웨덴이 대담을 주최 함으로써 한반도의 긴장을 완화하기위한 노력을 계속해왔다고 말했습니다. 스웨덴은 평양에 대사관을 가진 몇안되는 서방국중에 하나입니다. 외교행정을 제공하는 곳은 스웨덴뿐만 아니라 미국, 캐나다 그리고 호주가 있습니다. 

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho and Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven met briefly in Stockholm, but Skoog and Lofven’s spokesman would not disclose what the two officials discussed. “We just want to be helpful in pursuing a de-escalation on the peninsula,” Skoog said.

북한 외교부장관인 리용호와 스웨덴 총리 스테판 로프벤는 스톡홀름에서 짧은 만남을 가졌습니다. 하지만 스쿠그와 로브펜의 대변인은 두 대표가 논의 한 내용들을 공개하지 않았습니다. "우리는 단지 한반도의 관계개선을 도울 뿐입니다" 

The majority of Ri’s time was spent with Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom. At the conclusion of the talks, Sweden’s foreign ministry released a statement saying Wallstrom emphasized to the North Korean official “the need for North Korea to dismantle its nuclear arms and missiles program in line with several [U.N.] Security Council resolutions.”

U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his plan to meet by the end of May with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to negotiate Pyongyang’s nuclear program, the White House said. In a phone call with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Trump expressed “cautious optimism” over recent developments regarding North Korea.

미국 대통령 도널드 트럼프는 5월말 평양의 핵프로그램에 대한 협상을 위해 북한의 김정은을 만날 계획을 다시한번 확인했다고 백악관은 전했습니다. 대한민국의 대통령 문재인과의 전화 통화에서 트럼프는 최근 북한과의 관계 개선에 대해 “조심스러운 낙관”을 표출했습니다.

The White House said the two leaders discussed preparations for their upcoming negotiations with North Korea and agreed “concrete actions, not words” were key to any denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. North Korea, however, has not officially confirmed the meeting, and no specific time or venue has been set.

백악관은 두 리더가 다가오는 북한과의 협상준비에 대해서 논의 했고 한반도의 비핵화의 열쇠는 “말이 아닌 확고한 행동”이라는데 동의 했다고 전쟀습니다. 하지만 북한은 아직 공식적으로 회담에 대해 시간이나 장소등에 대해 확고히 하지 않고있습니다.
