달리는 중에 자동차를 충전하는것은 괜찮은 아이디어 인 것같습니다. 마치 트램같네요. 달리는 중에 충전을 할 수 있다면 굳이 대용량 배터리를 달 필요도 없어 지는 거니까 자동차의 보급가격도 낮아 질 겁니다. 자동차 회사들을 싫어 할수도 있겠네요. 그리고 도로에 충전 레일을 까는것도 인프라 구축을 위해 많은 재원이 필요 할 것 입니다. 국가가 주도적으로 해야할 사업처럼 보입니다. 유럽의 많은 기업들은 친환경기술에 정말 많은 투자를 하고 있는 것 같습니다.
Major world automakers have already invested heavily in electric vehicles and related technology – and they are committed to keep doing so. Some have even promised to stop producing vehicles that run only on gas or diesel fuel in the future.

But one of the main issues with the technology is that drivers need to charge the batteries often to be able to travel longer distances. The batteries themselves can also greatly increase the price of the vehicles.

Now, a new technology is being developed and tested in Sweden to help resolve these issues. Engineers there have created what is thought to be the world’s first electrified road. A vehicle's battery is charged from the road as the vehicle travels.
현재, 스웨덴에서 이 문제를 해결할 새로운 기술이 개발되고 그리고 시험중에 있습니다. 엔지니어들은 그들이 만드는 것이 세계최초 전기화 된 도로가 될 것 이라고 합니다. 자동차의 배터리는 도로주행중에 도로로 부터 충전이 이루어지니다.
The project is called eRoadArlanda.
이 프로젝트 이름은 eRoadArlanda 입니다.
Hans Saell, who has led the project since 2013, explains that the technology works in a simple way. A 15-centimeter-wide electrical rail is built into the road. The vehicle contains equipment that automatically senses the electrified road. An arm then lowers from the vehicle to make contact with the rail.
한스 셀은 2013년 부터 이 프로젝트를 이끌어 오고 있습니다. 그는 이 기술이 매우 간단한 방법으로 작동한다고 설명합니다. 15센티미터 폭의 넓은 일렉트릭 레일을 도로에 삽입합니다. 자동차에 탑재된 장비는 자동으로 이 전기화된 도로를 탐지 합니다. 그리고 아래로 팔이 내려와 이 레일과 접촉을 하는 것 입니다.
Saell says that currently, the battery makes up about half the total cost of an electric vehicle. With electric roads, smaller batteries could be used, which would significantly reduce the cost.
셀은 현재, 배터리가격이 전기 자동차의 절반을 차지 한다고 말합니다. 일렉트릭로드라면 더 적은 배터리를 사용능하고, 원가를 상당히 줄일 수 있습니다.
He says the system still needs a lot of development before it will be ready for widespread use. But he estimates this could happen in just 5 to 10 years.
그는 이 시스템의 상용화를 위해서는 아직 더 많은 개발이 이루어져야 한다고 말합니다. 하지만 그는 5~10년 이내에서 상용화가 이루어 질것이라고 예상합니다.
