The Virgin Islands National Park is a tropical paradise on the island of St. John. The park covers more than half of the small island. It is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south.

버진아일랜드 국립공원은 세인트존섬에 있는 열대파라다이스 입니다. 이 공원의 반은 작은 섬으로 이루어져있습니다. 그리고 북쪽으로는 대서양이 둘러 싸고있고 남쪽으로는 캐리비안해가 있습니다. 

The island’s white sand beaches and clear blue seas are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean.

이 섬의 하얀 모래해변과 깨끗하고 푸른 바다는 캐리비안에서 가장 아름답습니다. 

Laurence Rockefeller was an American millionaire, businessman and conservationist. He visited St. John in the 1950s. He quickly fell in love with the island’s clean, pure beauty, so, he purchased a small resort there. He also purchased more than 2,000 hectares of the island and donated it to the government. That donation created the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park.

로렌스 록펠러는 미국의 백만장자이자 사업가이고 환경보호가 입니다. 그는 1950년 세인트 존 섬에 방문했습니다. 그는 이 섬의 깨끗함과 순수한 아름다움에 빠져들었고 이곳에 작은 리조트를 구매했습니다. 그리고 그는 2,000 헥타르에 달하는 섬을 더 구입했고 정부에 기부했습니다. 이 기부가 미국의 버진아일랜드 국립공원을 만들었습니다. 

Along with land, the Virgin Islands National Park today protects almost 3,000 hectares of coral reefs, sea life and coastal land.

육지를 따라서, 오늘날 버진아일랜드 국립공원은 3,000헥타르의 해변과 해양생태계 그리고 섬을 보호하고 있습니다.  

The only way to reach the park is by boat. Some people arrive on their own sailboats.Others come in on large cruise ships.

이곳에 도착하는 방법은 보트를 이용하는 방법뿐입니다. 어떤 사람들을 그들의 세일보트를 타고 도착하기도합니다. 또는 큰 크루저 선으로 오기도합니다. 

St. John offers many kinds of places to stay: very large or very small hotels, villas, or campgrounds with wood framed tents. Visitors can also rent an empty camp space and set up their own tent. It is a cheap and adventurous way to stay in the park.

세인트 섬은 여러가지 형태의 숙소를 제공합니다. 매우 큰 호텔부터 작은 호텔, 빌라 그리고 나무프레임텐트로된 캠핑그라운드. 방문객들은 비어있는 캠핑 장소를 대여해서 그들의 캠프를 설치할수있습니다. 이것은 공원에서 보내기에 매우 싸고 모험적인 방법입니다. 

There are many things to do at the Virgin Islands National Park. Visitors enjoy fishing, camping, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and bird watching.

버진아일랜드는 많은 액티비티가 있습니다. 방문객들은 낚시나, 캠핑, 세일링, 스쿠버다이빙, 스노쿨링 그리고 새 관찰하기등을 할수있습니다. 

The Virgin Islands National Park is often called America’s paradise. It protects St. John's pristine nature, and preserves the record of human history in the Caribbean.
