Apple made history Thursday when it became the first U.S. company to be valued at $1 trillion.

애플이 목요일에 역사를 만들었습니다. 애플은 미국에서 첫번째로 주식평가액이 1조달러가 된 기업이 되었습니다. 

The Silicon Valley company's stock has skyrocketed more than 50,000 percent since it went public in 1980. If Apple were a nation, it would be the world’s seventeenth largest economy.

이 실리콘 밸리 회사의 주식은 1980년에 상장한이후 50,000% 떡상했습니다. 

The company was co-founded by the late Steve Jobs in 1976. While the company found success in the late '80s and early '90s, by 1997, it had fallen on hard times and with stocks worth just a few dollars. If someone had bought $10,000 of Apple stock at that point, it would now be worth $2.6 million.

스티브 잡스는 1976년 이 회사의 공동으로 설립했습니다. 이 회사가 1980후반 그리고 90년 초반 까지 성공을 일구었으나 1997년 추락했고 주식가격은 수달러에 머물렀습니다. 

The current price of stocks in the company is about $207.

현재 애플의 주식가격은 207달러입니다. 

Apple's success was fueled in large part by its iPhone, which transformed it from a small player in the booming personal computer sector into a global tech giant. As the company's market value rose over the decades, it revolutionized how we communicate and do business.

애플의 성공은 대부분은 그들의 아이폰으로부터 기인합니다. 아이폰은 애플을 작은 플레이어에서 개인컴퓨터의 세계적공룡으로 만들었습니다. 회사의 시장가치는 10년간 계속 상승했습니다. 일하는 방식과 소통에있어서 혁명적이었습니다. 

Apple’s rise in recent years is a sign of the strength of the technology industry. However, the tech giant faces strong competition from other companies. It could lose its top spot to Amazon, which currently has a market value of $880 billion.

애플은 최근 몇년간의 성장은 기술산업부분의 초강세에대한 신호였습니다. 하지만 이 거대회사는 강력한 경쟁자를 마주하게 됩니다. 아마존에게 정상의 위치를 뺏길수도 있습니다. 현재 아마존은 평가액은 880억 달러입니다.

Technology companies like Apple, Amazon and Alphabet – Google's parent company – are currently the most valuable in the world.

애플,아마존 그리고 알파벤 - 구글의 모기업 - 와 같은 기술회사들은 현재 전세계에서 가장 가치있는 기업입니다.  

But a traditional industrial business, The Saudi Arabian Oil Company known as Aramco, could take Apple's spot if it starts offering its stock to the public.

하지만 전통적 산업회사, 사우디아라비아의 오일회사로 알려진 아람코는 그들이 주식공개만 한다면 애플의 지점에서 시작 할 수도 있습니다. 

Some experts believe the Saudi oil company could reach a total stock market value two times bigger than Apple’s.

몇몇 전문가들은 아람코의 주식평가액이 애플보다 두 배 큰것으로 여기고 있습니다.
